Francis Edward Turner, born in 1981 in Meonstoke, Hampshire, is an English singer-songwriter whose music blends punk energy with folk influences. He first made his mark as the vocalist for the post-hardcore band Million Dead before launching a solo career in 2005. Performing with his backing band, The Sleeping Souls, Turner has released ten solo albums and is known for heartfelt songwriting and energetic live shows. His ninth album, FTHC, topped the UK albums chart in 2022.
