His solo albums, notably Graceland, brought him international success with songs like You Can Call Me Al and helped introduce global sounds to mainstream audiences. Over his long career, Simon has earned multiple Grammy Awards, been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and received the Library of Congress's Gershwin Prize. Beyond music, he is recognized for his philanthropic work, co-founding the Children's Health Fund and supporting effective altruism. Simon continues to inspire with his songwriting and musical innovation, most recently with the album Seven Psalms in 2023.
