Electric Guitar Strings .011

.011 electric guitar strings have a firmer feel and offer more resistance than .009 or .010 sets. They may suit a stronger picking attack and lower tunings if the particular scale length and set provide the required tension. The .011 designation refers to the thinnest string; always check the remaining gauges on the pack.

A heavier gauge is not automatically better for every playing style. Moving to .011 may require checks to the neck, action, nut, bridge and intonation so that the guitar remains comfortable and correctly set up.
