Iva Bittová is a Czech avant-garde violinist, singer, and composer known for her innovative blend of vocal and instrumental techniques. After starting out as an actor in Czech cinema during the 1970s, she shifted to music in the early 1980s, quickly earning international recognition for her distinctive style. Since launching her recording career in 1986, she has performed across Europe, the United States, and Japan, and released over eight solo albums. Alongside her musical work, she continues to make occasional appearances in film, including a notable role in the Academy Award-nominated film Želary.
