Destin Choice Route, known as JID, is an American rapper from Atlanta. He signed with J Cole's Dreamville Records in 2017 and is a founding member of the musical collective Spillage Village and the hip hop group Zoink Gang. JID is recognized for his rapid flow and sharp wordplay, gaining early attention with independent releases like Route of Evil, Para Tu, and DiCaprio. His debut album The Never Story and its follow-up DiCaprio 2 both received critical acclaim. JID reached a wider audience with the hit single Enemy alongside Imagine Dragons, peaking at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. His latest album, The Forever Story, continued his run of success and features the popular track Surround Sound.
