Joseph Dassin was an American-French singer-songwriter known for his popular songs across France and the French-speaking world during the 1960s and 1970s. Active from 1964 to 1980, he also sang in several other languages and found success in Finland, Greece, and Germany. Over his career, he sold nearly 25 million records worldwide. He was the son of film director Jules Dassin.
