The Lightning Seeds are an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1989 by Ian Broudie, who had previously played with Big in Japan, Care, and Original Mirrors. Initially a solo studio project, the group grew into a full live band after the release of Jollification in 1994. They achieved widespread success in the 1990s and are best known for their hit single Three Lions, created with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, which topped the UK charts several times.
