Expressive Keyboard and Modulation

The FATAR TP9/S keybed with aftertouch supports expressive playing techniques, and full MPE compatibility opens Carbon 8 up to controllers that transmit per-note pitch, pressure and slide data. A 4-axis joystick provides hands-on modulation during performance.

Sequencer and Arpeggiator

An integrated 512-note real-time/step sequencer and a 32-step programmable arpeggiator let users build evolving patterns with up to 4 animation lanes. Up to 500 patch slots and a robust 3-slot FX engine with effects including Drive, Chorus, Flanger, Stereo Delay and Reverb complete the creative toolkit.

Connectivity and Build

Carbon 8 measures 555 × 300 × 100 mm and weighs 5.6 kg, housed in a road-ready aluminium and steel chassis. Connections include USB, MIDI In/Out, dual 1/4" TS line outputs, a 1/4" TRS headphone output and a 1/8" TRS stereo audio input. MODALapp integration enables full software-based editing and patch backup.
