Cymbal Sets

A cymbal set is practical when you build a first drum kit or replace several cymbals at once. Instead of choosing every piece separately, you get a combination that can be used for practice, rehearsal and live playing. Choose it by style, response and whether you need a basic or wider set.

When to buy a cymbal set

The usual core is a hi-hat for groove and timing, a crash cymbal for accents and a ride cymbal for a steady pattern. Some sets add another crash, splash or effect cymbal. For louder styles look for definition and projection; for softer playing, faster response and shorter decay may suit you better.

A set is not mandatory for everyone. If you already have a favourite cymbal and need only one extra colour, choose a separate piece. For carrying the full set, add a cymbal bag or case to protect edges and finish.
