MusicNomad MN812 Fret Leveler Tool for Guitar

The MusicNomad MN812 Fret Leveler is a 24" (61 cm) precision leveling beam designed specifically for bass guitar fretwork. Its thicker-wall aluminum body provides the weight needed to sand frets flat without excessive downward pressure, while the ergonomic curved handle keeps the tool comfortable and secure during longer leveling sessions. Radius-beveled edges protect adjacent high frets from accidental dings, and the top and bottom working surfaces are precision-ground to a flat tolerance of ±0.03 mm per foot for accurate results.

  • 24" (61 cm) beam length covers the full bass fretboard in fewer strokes.
  • 6063-T5 aluminum body with blue anodized finish ensures long-term durability.
  • Precision-ground flat surfaces at ±0.03 mm per foot tolerance.
  • Includes 3M Stikit P240 and P400 grit abrasive strips to get started.

MusicNomad MN812 Fret Leveler — Precision Beam for Bass Guitar Setup

The MusicNomad MN812 Fret Leveler is a 24" (61 cm) L-beam tool built for leveling frets and fingerboards on bass guitars. The longer beam covers the full bass neck in fewer passes, making it easier to achieve a flat playing surface. Its thicker-wall aluminum body adds enough mass that the tool's own weight does most of the work, reducing hand fatigue during longer sessions.

Designed by the Sonoma, California team, this model features an ergonomic curved handle for comfort and control, plus radius-beveled edges that prevent accidental contact with high frets. The top and bottom working surfaces are precision-ground flat to a tolerance of ±0.03 mm per foot, and the kit includes three adhesive-backed 3M Stikit Gold abrasive strips (two P240 grit, one P400 grit).
