Tama SC145 Stewart Copeland 14" Snare Drum
Signature 5" x 14" snare drum that was designed in collaboration with Stewart Copeland and is a faithful reproduction of the snare drum of "mysterious provenance" that he used with the Police and everything else from that time period. A brass shell that's 0.5 mm thicker than the standard 1 mm shell and the combination of a die-cast batter hoop with a triple flanged bottom hoop provides sounds that easily penetrate.
Artist Signature: Stewart Copeland
Stewart Copeland, the legendary drummer of The Police, is known for his distinctive drumming style that blends rock, punk, reggae, and jazz influences. His unique use of polyrhythms, dynamic hi-hat work, and energetic approach made him one of the most groundbreaking drummers of his era.
Shell Material: Brass
Brass is a highly resonant, metallic material known for its warm yet bright tone. It offers a unique balance of deep lows, smooth mids, and brilliant highs. Brass drums have a distinctive attack with a rounded, dynamic presence and excellent sustain. Its bright, warm sound makes it a great fit for a variety of genres, including jazz, funk, and rock.
