Roman Holý, born in 1966 in Sušice, is a Czech composer, keyboardist, singer, and prominent music producer. He is best known as the frontman and creative force behind the bands J.A.R. and Monkey Business, recognized for popularizing funk music in the Czech Republic. Holý also founded the group Sexy Dancers, releasing their only album in 1998, and later formed the project G-Point Hunters together with Matěj Ruppert. Over the years, he has composed music for several films and television projects, and produced a unique soundtrack for the fictional film Crushing Bliss. Besides his band activities, Holý is an avid collector of keyboards and has performed with various other groups, including Dr. Max and Bossanova.
