Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, known as Nate Dogg, was an influential American singer and rapper born in 1969. Rising to fame as a key member of the West Coast hip-hop trio 213 alongside Snoop Dogg and Warren G, he became renowned for his smooth, deep vocals on numerous hit rap tracks throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Nicknamed the King of Hooks, Nate Dogg’s signature choruses powered classics like Warren G’s "Regulate" and Dr. Dre’s "The Next Episode," as well as 50 Cent’s "21 Questions," which reached number one on the Billboard charts. He collaborated with top artists including Dr. Dre, Eminem, Ludacris, and Xzibit, and released three solo studio albums. Nate Dogg’s work left a lasting mark on hip-hop, defining the sound of an era before his passing in 2011.
