Gaining global recognition in 1987 with their chart-topping version of La Bamba, the group is celebrated for their diverse sound and lasting influence. Los Lobos songs have been covered by artists like Elvis Costello and Robert Plant. The band has been nominated for twelve Grammy Awards, winning four, and was inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame in 2018. They are also known for performing the Handy Manny theme song.
