Fedor Frešo was a Slovak rock and jazz bassist and singer, born in 1947 to a family deeply rooted in music and culture. After studying double bass and bass guitar at a conservatory, he worked as a radio producer and musical director until 1989. Frešo played with several influential groups, including the Soulmen, Prúdy, Collegium Musicum, Fermata, T+R Band, Traditional Club, and Blue Effect, leaving a lasting mark on the Czechoslovak music scene. In 2011, he shared his musical journey in his book Sideman. Frešo passed away in 2018.
