Humble Pie is an English rock group formed in 1969 in Moreton, Essex by Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton. Recognized as one of the earliest supergroups, Humble Pie gained popularity in the early seventies with energetic tracks like Black Coffee, 30 Days in the Hole, and I Don't Need No Doctor. The original members came from well-known bands, with Marriott from Small Faces, Frampton from the Herd, Greg Ridley from Spooky Tooth, and young drummer Jerry Shirley from Apostolic Intervention.
