Extreme is a rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1985. Known for their blend of hard rock and funk influences, they became one of the leading rock acts of the early 1990s. Extreme gained international fame with their second album, Pornograffitti, which reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 and included the hit single "More Than Words," a chart-topping acoustic ballad. Over their career, the band has released six studio albums and sold more than ten million records worldwide.
