The O'Jays are a legendary R&B group from Canton, Ohio, formed in 1958. Originally a quintet, their classic lineup became a trio with Eddie Levert, Walter Lee Williams, and William Powell. The group found major success in the 1970s after signing with Philadelphia International and releasing hits like Back Stabbers and the chart-topping Love Train. As pioneers of the Philadelphia soul sound, The O'Jays have earned a place in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame.
