3rd Bass was an American hip hop group active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, featuring MC Serch, Pete Nice, and DJ Richie Rich. As one of the first successful interracial hip hop acts, they earned respect within the community and released two gold-certified studio albums. The group disbanded in 1994, briefly reunited twice, and ultimately dissolved after 2013.
