Hi-Fi styluses are replacement tips for turntable cartridges, and they determine how the needle contacts the groove and whether a record plays cleanly without unnecessary noise. Before choosing one, first check compatibility with the exact cartridge or turntable model, because a similar shape does not always mean the same fitting. The stylus profile matters too: a conical tip is usually more forgiving, while an elliptical tip can read finer detail when the setup is correct.
