Franco Micalizzi

Franco Micalizzi, born in Rome in 1939, is an acclaimed Italian composer and conductor, renowned for his dynamic scores in Poliziotteschi films. Rising to fame with the soundtrack for the Spaghetti Western They Call Me Trinity in 1970, Micalizzi also co-composed the iconic music for The Forgotten Pistolero with Roberto Pregadio. His memorable theme for A Special Cop in Action was later featured in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof. Micalizzi frequently collaborated with director Umberto Lenzi on several film scores, including Rome Armed to the Teeth and Violent Naples. Beyond crime and action films, his work spans titles like The Last Snows of Spring, Beyond the Door, and The Last Hunter. In the 1980s, he formed The Micalizzi Family group with his sons. His composition The Puzzle gained renewed attention for its use in the series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
