Gerard Way is an American singer, songwriter, and comic book writer, best known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of My Chemical Romance. He launched a solo music career with the album Hesitant Alien in 2014. In addition to his music, Way co-created the comic series The Umbrella Academy, which became a hit Netflix show, and The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. He also founded the Young Animal imprint at DC Comics, contributing as a writer to the series Doom Patrol.
