Kendrick Jeru Davis, known as Jeru the Damaja, is an American rapper and record producer born on February 14, 1971. He gained recognition with his 1993 single "Come Clean" and his debut album The Sun Rises in the East, which is considered one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. Jeru is also known for his collaborations with Guru and DJ Premier of Gang Starr.
