Abigail is a black metal band from Tokyo, Japan, formed in 1992. Known for their raw and aggressive sound, they gained notoriety as "The Most Evil Band in Japan." After opening for Sigh at their first show, they released their debut album, Intercourse and Lust, in 1996. Abigail has since produced six studio albums alongside various EPs, splits, and live releases. Their music draws inspiration from early extreme metal and punk bands. Bandleader Yasuyuki Suzuki also collaborates with American musician Joel Grind, who has played live with Abigail and joined him in the side project Tiger Junkies.
