Alabama Shakes is an acclaimed rock band from Athens, Alabama, formed in 2009. The current lineup features Brittany Howard on vocals and guitar, Heath Fogg on guitar, and Zac Cockrell on bass. Known for their soulful blend of rock and roots music, the band first gained attention with their debut album Boys and Girls released in 2012, which included the Grammy-nominated single Hold On. Their second album, Sound and Color, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2015 and earned them three Grammy Awards, highlighted by the hit Dont Wanna Fight. Alabama Shakes has a total of four Grammy wins, including Best American Roots Performance for Killer Diller Blue. After a period of hiatus, the band reunited for a surprise show in December 2024 and announced both new music and a reunion tour for the summer of 2025.
