Amon Düül II is a German rock band formed in 1968 in Munich and recognized as a leading force in the krautrock movement. Emerging from the Amon Düül art commune, they are known for their pioneering experimental sound. Their 1969 debut album, Phallus Dei, and the influential 1970 release Yeti helped shape the genre. The band has also composed music for films, earning the Deutscher Filmpreis for their work on the 1970 film San Domingo.
