Banks is an American singer and songwriter known for her emotive blend of alternative pop and electronic music. Emerging in 2013 with the EPs Fall Over and London, she quickly gained attention and signed with Harvest Records. Her debut album, Goddess, arrived in 2014 to critical praise, reaching number 12 on the Billboard 200 and featuring the platinum-certified single Beggin for Thread. Banks continued her success with two more albums, The Altar in 2016 and III in 2019, both of which charted strongly and further established her atmospheric, personal style.
