Black Sheep is a hip hop duo from Queens, New York, featuring Andres "Dres" Vargas Titus and William "Mista Lawnge" McLean. Although originally from New York, they met as teenagers in North Carolina before returning to the East Coast music scene. As members of the influential Native Tongues collective alongside acts like A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul, Black Sheep rose to prominence in the early 1990s with their hit single "Flavor of the Month" and the acclaimed album A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. Known for their creative rhythms and witty, sharp lyrics, they made a lasting impact on hip hop before disbanding in 1995.
