Circle Jerks are an American hardcore punk band from Los Angeles, formed in 1979 by former Black Flag singer Keith Morris and Redd Kross guitarist Greg Hetson. Known for their fast and aggressive style, they released their influential debut album Group Sex in 1980, which remains a classic of the genre. Over their career, the band has released six studio albums and is recognized for shaping the Southern California punk scene. Circle Jerks have gone through several breakups and reunions, with changing lineups, but have continued to perform live and inspire generations of punk and alternative bands, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, and The Offspring.
