Destiny’s Child
Destiny's Child was an influential American girl group from Houston, Texas, consisting of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams in its final lineup. Originally formed as Girl's Tyme in 1990, the group found mainstream success after signing with Columbia Records in 1997 and releasing hits like No No No, Bills Bills Bills, Say My Name, and Jumpin Jumpin. Destiny's Child became known for their empowering anthems and energetic performances, especially with their chart-topping albums The Writing's on the Wall and Survivor, which featured worldwide hits such as Independent Women and Bootylicious. Despite lineup changes and legal disputes, the group sold over 60 million records, won three Grammy Awards, and earned recognition as one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. After disbanding in 2006, members have periodically reunited for major events like the Super Bowl and Coachella, cementing their legacy in pop and R and B music.
