Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987, originally known as Nihilist. Recognized as pioneers of the Scandinavian death metal scene, they are known for their signature buzzsaw guitar sound. In the early 1990s, Entombed evolved by blending death metal with garage rock and other influences, helping to create the style known as death n roll. Alongside Dismember, Grave, and Unleashed, Entombed is considered one of the big four of Swedish death metal.
