For KING and COUNTRY is a Christian pop duo formed by Australian brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, who moved to Nashville, Tennessee as children. Originally performing as Joel and Luke and later as Austoville, the brothers adopted their current name in 2012 and released their debut album, Crave, after a well-received EP. They quickly gained attention as standout new artists, and their 2014 album Run Wild Live Free Love Strong earned them a Grammy award.
Known for their energetic and anthemic sound, for KING and COUNTRY reached new heights with the gold-certified Burn the Ships in 2018, featuring hit singles such as God Only Knows, Joy, and Burn the Ships. They have also released a Christmas album, A Drummer Boy Christmas, and their latest record, What Are We Waiting For, arrived in 2022.
The duo has collaborated with major artists, including Dolly Parton, Timbaland, Tori Kelly, Lecrae, CeCe Winans, and NEEDTOBREATHE. Beyond music, Joel and Luke have also co-created two feature films, Priceless and Unsung Hero, which draw on the themes of their songs. Their blend of faith-inspired lyrics and modern pop continues to resonate with a broad audience.
