Pulp is a British rock band from Sheffield, formed in 1978. Best known for their sharp, observational lyrics about everyday life and British culture, Pulp became icons of the Britpop movement in the 1990s. With Jarvis Cocker as their charismatic frontman, the band found major success with albums like His 'n' Hers, Different Class, and This Is Hardcore, producing hits such as Common People and Sorted for E's and Wizz. After initially struggling for recognition, Pulp achieved critical and commercial success, headlined Glastonbury Festival, and were considered part of Britpop's "big four" alongside Blur, Oasis, and Suede. Following a hiatus after their 2001 album We Love Life, the band returned for reunion tours and new music, releasing their eighth album, More, in 2025.
