Samael is a Swiss metal band from Sion, formed in 1987 by brothers Vorphalack and Xytraguptor. The current lineup features both founders alongside guitarist Drop and bassist Ales. Known for blending metal with industrial, electronic, and symphonic elements, Samael stands out through their use of drum machines both in the studio and live, creating a unique mix of heavy riffs, driving beats, and dynamic rhythms.
