The Coral are an English rock band from Hoylake, Merseyside, active since 1996. Gaining recognition in the early 2000s, they released their acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2002, featuring the hit "Dreaming of You" and earning a Mercury Prize nomination. Their follow-up album, Magic and Medicine, brought further success with several UK Top 20 singles, including "Pass It On." After guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones departed in 2008, the group carried on as a five-piece.
