The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band from Boston, founded in 1986 by Evan Dando, Ben Deily, and Jesse Peretz. Known for blending punk energy with melodic rock, the band gained mainstream success in the early 1990s with the album It's a Shame About Ray and their popular cover of Mrs. Robinson. Evan Dando has remained the central figure throughout numerous lineup changes. After a hiatus beginning in 1997, the Lemonheads returned in 2005 and have continued to record and tour, releasing their most recent album, Varshons 2, in 2019. Over the years, the band has featured various influential musicians from bands like Blake Babies, Dinosaur Jr., Squirrel Bait, and the Descendents.
