Antony de Vit was an English DJ and music producer regarded as a key figure in shaping hard house and hard NRG music. Emerging from the London and Birmingham club scene, he played a major role in bringing these energetic styles into mainstream clubs during the 1990s. His notable singles include Burning Up, which reached number 25 on the UK Singles Chart, and To the Limit. De Vit was celebrated for his acclaimed remixes for artists like Taylor Dayne and East 17, and won the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year in 1995. His influence and popularity among clubbers at the time was rivaled only by a few and, in 2011, Mixmag ranked him among the top ten greatest DJs of all time.
