Anthony Williams was an influential American jazz drummer known for his work with Miles Davis’ Second Great Quintet and for pioneering jazz fusion with his own group, the Tony Williams Lifetime. Widely regarded for his innovative style and technical brilliance, he helped shape modern jazz drumming and was recognized as one of the best drummers of his time. Williams was honored with inductions into both the Modern Drummer and Percussive Arts Society Halls of Fame.
