Warrant is an American glam metal band formed in 1984 in Hollywood, Los Angeles. They rose to fame with their debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich in 1989, featuring the hit single Heaven. Their follow-up album Cherry Pie in 1990 produced another major hit with its title track. In the early 1990s, Warrant continued their success with the gold-certified Dog Eat Dog, but faced challenges as grunge took over the music scene. Despite lineup changes and evolving styles, the band released several albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s. After the passing of original singer Jani Lane in 2011, Warrant continued to tour and record new music. As of 2024, the band is still active, now fronted by Robert Mason.
