Xentrix is a thrash metal band from Preston, Lancashire, originally formed in 1984 as Sweet Vengeance. They became known as Xentrix in 1988 and are recognized as one of the leading bands in the English thrash metal scene, often mentioned alongside Acid Reign, Onslaught and Sabbat. The band released several influential albums between 1989 and 1996, split up in 1997, and after two reunions, returned with new music, including Bury the Pain in 2019 and Seven Words in 2022.
