Which capo should you choose for an acoustic guitar?

A capo presses the strings down at your chosen fret and raises the guitar's pitch without retuning, so you can play the same chord shape in a different key. For an acoustic guitar with steel strings, choose a steel-string capo that follows the curvature of the fretboard. A guitar with 12 strings has a wider neck and needs a capo for 12-string guitars. You can fit a spring-loaded capo with one hand, while a screw-operated capo lets you fine-tune the clamping pressure. You'll find all types in the Capos category.

Why does an acoustic guitar need a humidifier?

The wood of an acoustic guitar reacts to dry air, especially in a heated room in winter. When it dries out, the frets can protrude, the string height changes and the soundboard can crack. A humidifier placed in the soundhole or guitar case keeps the humidity stable and protects the wood. You'll find more in the Humidifiers category.

What does a soundhole cover do?

A soundhole cover fits into the opening of an acoustic guitar. When you play through a pickup on stage, it reduces the squeal of feedback from the speakers. It works on a simple principle: closing the soundhole reduces the body's resonance with the sound from the amplification system. Choose a cover to match the diameter of your guitar's soundhole; you'll find them in the Soundhole Covers category.
