All Saints

All Saints

All Saints are a British girl group formed in London in 1993 by music manager Ron Tom, originally as All Saints 1.9.7.5. The founding members were Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and Simone Rainford. After some early line-up changes and commercial struggles, sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton joined in 1996, and the group signed to London Records under the name All Saints. They achieved major success in the late 1990s with their debut album "All Saints", which spawned three UK number-one singles, including the Brit Award-winning "Never Ever". Their follow-up album "Saints & Sinners" also topped the UK charts with hits like "Pure Shores" and "Black Coffee". Known for their blend of R and B, pop, and distinctive style, All Saints became one of the most successful British girl groups, selling 12 million records worldwide. The band is also remembered for their impact on late 90s British fashion, particularly their iconic cargo pants look. Despite breakups and reunions, All Saints continued to release music, including the albums "Red Flag" and "Testament". Their influence has been cited by artists such as Jessy Lanza and Charli XCX.
