Combining the extended reach of the QL long-neck platform with the tight directional control of the ultracardioid pattern, the U857QLU addresses installations where both a longer gooseneck and maximum feedback rejection are required simultaneously — deep lecterns in acoustically live venues, conference rooms with nearby loudspeakers, and theatrical applications with demanding SPL environments.

Long Neck, Ultracardioid Pattern

The U857QLU delivers the same ultracardioid polar characteristics as the U857QU with the added gooseneck length of the U857QL. This combination serves installations where the microphone must reach further toward the speaker while maintaining the tight directional pattern necessary to manage feedback in reinforced sound environments.

Phantom Power and AV Integration

The U857QLU operates on 11–52V phantom power with XLR output and a threaded base compatible with standard podium hardware. All specifications including frequency response, self-noise, and output level are consistent with the U857Q family of gooseneck microphones.
