Beetronics Tuna Trem Tremolo/Vibrato
The Beetronics Tuna Trem is a nine-mode tremolo pedal that pairs an analog VCA signal path with digital control, packing classic waves, lo-fi textures, rhythmic patterns, volume swells and a killswitch into a hand-drilled tuna-can enclosure.
- Nine "Species" tremolo modes covering sine, square, lo-fi, bursts, pulses, syncopation, swells and killswitch
- 100% analog signal path with digital control for expanded mode selection
- Latching and momentary footswitch operation for expressive volume swells and signal cuts
- 50 mA current draw on standard 9V center-negative pedal power supply
A Nine-Mode Tremolo Pedal in a Real Tuna Can
The Beetronics Tuna Trem is a nine-mode tremolo pedal that pairs an analog VCA signal path with digital control, packing classic waves, lo-fi textures, rhythmic patterns, volume swells and a killswitch into a hand-drilled tuna-can enclosure. It delivers smooth sine tremolo, choppy square pulses, broken lo-fi patterns, syncopated rhythms and blooming volume swells from a single stompbox, making it a fit for surf, experimental and performance-driven players.
Analog Signal Path With Digital Mode Control
The audio path stays 100% analog while digital control switches between the nine Species and unlocks features a pure analog circuit cannot deliver. Each mode saves its own depth setting automatically, so once you dial in your preferred intensity, that setting stays put. The enclosure is a real, hand-drilled tuna can — vegan, no fish involved — that gives the pedal its unmistakable look on a crowded board.
Nine Tremolo Modes Beyond Standard Sine and Square
The Species selector chooses between nine distinct amplitude behaviors, far beyond a typical two-mode tremolo.
- Surfer Bee: Sine wave — smooth, classic tremolo for surf and clean rhythm work
- Leafcutter Bee: Square wave — sharp, hard-chopping pulses for rhythmic stabs
- Sweller Bee: Volume swell — footswitch-held swells, Speed sets ramp-up, Depth sets ramp-down
- Morse Bee: Killswitch — momentary signal cuts, pedal stays always on
Multi-Function Footswitch With Per-Mode Memory
A single footswitch works in both latching and momentary fashion for sustained swells or quick chops.
- Speed: Primary knob — sets the rate of the selected mode
- Depth: Alternate control — hold footswitch while turning Speed to set depth, saved per Species
- Signal Path: Analog VCA — 100% analog audio with digital mode switching
Pedalboard-Friendly Power and Iconic Build
The Tuna Trem runs on standard 9V pedal power with a modest 50 mA draw; any standard pedal supply with the correct voltage and polarity will do.
- Power: 9V DC, center-negative, 50 mA
- Enclosure: Real hand-drilled tuna can — vegan, distinctive on any board
