Behringer C112 Microphone for bass drum
Whether you’re mixing a recording or monitoring a bass line, you want a microphone that combines superior attack and punch for studio-quality sound, even at extremely high sound pressure levels with ultra-low noise floor. Our C112 dynamic microphone offers a strong low-frequency response and is specifically tailored for bass frequency applications. C112 is designed for use with kick drums, bass drums, bass guitar, cabinets and brass instruments – as well as other traditional low-frequency applications including piano – and provides incredible high-quality performance at a price well within the reach of every budget!
The C112 dynamic microphone is constructed with metal diecast to withstand the rigors of all drumming sessions and doesn’t require phantom power to operate. A high-quality carry case is included for extra convenience and portability – you can take it anywhere to record your drums and bass instruments when the muse inspires you!
Place your Behringer C112 inside the kick drum and point it towards the beater and you will capture the attack as you wanted. Position the mic just inside the kick drum opening to capture more weight and less attack. Aim the mic directly at beater for more attack, or towards the far edge of the drum for more resonant tone – this is how you capture the best of both worlds.
The compact design of C112 allows easy storage. Integrated microphone mount for precise positioning and 5/8" threaded adapter is included to match all type of microphone stands.
Capsule Type: Dynamic
A dynamic microphone is a type of microphone that works by moving a coil in a magnetic field. This mechanism allows you to capture sound waves and convert them into electrical signals. Dynamic microphones provide a natural and warm sound with excellent handling of loud sound sources such as vocals, drums, or electric instruments. Their directionality usually prevents unwanted ambient sounds from being picked up, which reduces background noise.
Polar Pattern: Uni-directional
The Uni-directional polar pattern refers to the ability of a device to capture sound primarily from one direction while suppressing unwanted noise from other sides. This type of polar pattern is ideal for recording or performances in environments with higher ambient noise levels, as it enhances the clarity and quality of the captured sound.
Frequency Range: 50 Hz - 14 kHz
The frequency response 50 Hz - 14 kHz provides a wide enough range to capture all the fine musical and sonic details.
Impedance: 250 Ohm
This value indicates the electrical resistance of the device to an alternating current. Common in microphones and musical equipment, 250 Ohm helps determine compatibility with preamps, mixers, and other audio gear.
Sound Pressure Level (SPL): 150 dB
High SPL levels up to 150 dB allow you to experience the sound as it was originally intended, with sufficient volume and dynamics.
