Black Star is a hip hop duo from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 1996 by Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli. Named after Marcus Garvey’s Black Star Line, they debuted with the influential album Mos Def and Talib Kweli Are Black Star in 1998. After years of releasing singles and collaborations, they returned with a second album, No Fear of Time, in 2022.
