Bleachers is a rock band from New Jersey that emerged in 2013, originally created by Jack Antonoff. For the first decade, Antonoff was the sole permanent member, with longtime touring musicians Mikey Freedom Hart, Sean Hutchinson, Evan Smith, Michael Riddleberger, and Zem Audu officially joining in 2023. The band’s sound blends influences from late 1980s and early 1990s rock with elements inspired by classic teen movies, all shaped by modern production. Since releasing their breakout single I Wanna Get Better in 2014, Bleachers has put out several studio albums, including Strange Desire, Gone Now, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, their self-titled release Bleachers, and a reimagined version of their debut called A Stranger Desired.
