Cathedral was a British doom metal band from Coventry, England, known for their influential debut album Forest of Equilibrium released in 1991. As their career progressed, the band incorporated elements of 1970s metal, hard rock, and progressive rock into their sound. Over more than two decades, Cathedral released ten studio albums and toured internationally before disbanding in 2013 after their final album, The Last Spire.
