CHVRCHES is a Scottish synth-pop band from Glasgow, formed in 2011. The group features Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, Martin Doherty, and since 2018, Jonny Scott as an unofficial member. Known for blending synth-pop with indietronica, indie pop, and electronic dance sounds, CHVRCHES first gained attention with their 2013 Recover EP, featuring tracks like The Mother We Share. Their debut album The Bones of What You Believe came out in 2013, followed by Every Open Eye in 2015, Love Is Dead in 2018, and Screen Violence in 2021. The band is celebrated for its catchy melodies, emotive lyrics, and energetic electronic production.
