Cream was a pioneering British rock supergroup formed in London in 1966 by bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton, and drummer Ginger Baker. Known for their exceptional musicianship and considered the first supergroup, Cream fused blues rock, psychedelia, and hard rock to create a distinctive sound. Over their brief yet influential three-year run, the band released four acclaimed albums, including the groundbreaking Wheels of Fire, the first platinum-selling double album. Cream achieved international fame with hits like Sunshine of Your Love and White Room and sold over 15 million records worldwide. Despite internal tensions leading to their breakup in 1968, Cream's legacy endures, with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and high rankings on lists of the greatest artists of all time.
